1.Do LED Gimbal Downlight produce any heat?

LED Gimbal Downlight produce very little heat, yes, they get warm but you can run these LED Downlights for hours and still touch the fittings.
Halogen downlight in comparison produce a lot of heat and get very hot, a major point is that so much energy is wasted as halogen downlights loose a lot of energy in just the heat they produce where as LED Downlights nearly all the power used is turned in to useable light.

2.Are 15W LED Gimbal Downlights expensive to run?

In these times of energy bills getting higher LED Downlights are the most cost effective way to light an area.
The power draw compare to halogen, metal halide and even compact fluorescent types is a huge amount smaller.
